Perky Pickles







If you enjoy pickles try this recipe:

Fresh cucumbers, dill or kosher pickles
Fresh garlic
White vinegar
White onions
Dash of Salt
Garlic Powder
Jalapenos, Poblano, Hot Serrano or any peppers (if you like it hot)
Carrots
Pickling Spices (optional)

Store in a container and place in refrigerator for a few days.
Eat and Enjoy

Healthy Foods - Baked Fish and Sides



For a lighter and healthy meal try baking fish. Salmon, Whiting and Pollack is great for baking.

Place fish in a baking pan or aluminum foil Season with black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and dill. Create a delicious sauce to spread over fish.

In a sauce pan add lemon juice, light butter or country crook vegetable spread, fresh garlic, parsley and dill.

Add sauce to the Fish and bake for 20 minutes. Simply Scrumptious!!
Optional: Add Parmesan cheese and bread crumbs for a savory crust.

For a delectable side. Pasta Medley

Boil baby carrots, broccoli, green onion, zucchini, squash, green, yellow and red bell peppers in a pot. Add pasta (your choice) and mushroom. Drain, season to taste with garlic powder, salt(optional), lemon juice, Parmesan cheese and light butter or spread.

Fast & Easy Snacks - Pico de Gallo (Salsa)


Pico de Gallo is a great snack that is not fattening. It can be used on Taco's, Fajitas, Hot Dogs, Omelets and of coarse as a dip.

Just cut up the following ingredients:

Plum Tomatoes
Jalapenos
Red & Yellow Onions
Cilantro
Fresh Garlic

Add black pepper, salt and lime juice to taste with the above ingredients in a bowl.

If you would like to make salsa, just add the above ingredients with crushed tomatoes.

Enjoy with Tortilla Chips!

Kiddies Quick Snack

Enjoy a quick snack with animal crackers (cookies) and peanut butter. Just add peanut butter to the crackers (cookies) for a tasty treat. This is a good snack for teens and adults to enjoy also.

Cooking With Vegetables


Even kids can enjoy savory vegetables dishes along with adults. Saute carrots, zucchini, cauliflower, broccoli and squash in a delightful garlic butter sauce. This is good as a side dish or all by itself.


For making soups; try various vegetables of your choice adding tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes and macaroni shells. What a filling meal. And if you want to add meat, include ground turkey for a lighter dish.

Kreative Kids Ideas - Fresh Fruit Smoothies/ Fresh Vegetables & Dip


For kids; let them join in on the fun. Substitute sweets with healthy frozen treats. Freeze grapes and watermelon for a quick snack. Also make delicious smoothies by adding there favorite fruit with milk and ice. What a wonderful and healthy treat that they will ask for again & again.

























They will also enjoy eating fresh vegetables when you add a delicious dipping sauce. Try Lipton Onion soup mix adding sour cream, fresh spinach, chives and chopped cucumbers. Put dip in refrigerator overnite. Arrange fresh vegetables on serving tray and place the dip in Hawaiian Bread.

Cooking can be a creative and relaxing experience. Trying new recipes is fun. You can create delicious recipes that's healthy. Try stir-frying with skinless chicken breast adding broccoli, red, yellow and green peppers. Add garlic and onion powder for taste. You can serve this over rice or pasta.

There are a lot of vegetarian dishes you can create. Think about it. Just don't add the meat. You can make pasta shells with sauce and cheese. Just bake it like you would do lasagna. Substitute meat with zucchini, carrots & broccoli.
